Beverage Processing
The beverage industry encompasses the preparation, production of raw materials, packaging, and distribution of drinks and ready-to-drink products. This broad industry includes bottled water, soft drinks, sports drinks, milk products, coffee & tea-based products, juices, nutritional beverages, beer, wine, and distilled products.
Beverage producers are held to the highest governmental standards and regulations for food safety. Thus, processing equipment must be cleaned and sanitized regularly and often to ensure product and consumer safety. Frequent cleaning removes pathogens and allergens, prevents cross-contamination, and maintains product quality and shelf life.
Manufacturing processes vary widely based upon the type of beverage product produced. As a result, facilities have different processing equipment and infrastructures, which require cleaning equipment explicitly designed to suit the individual facility.
