Background
A leading manufacturer of automotive refrigerant control
devices, including thermostatic expansion valves, pressure
switches and receiver dryers.
Problem
This customer needed to clean 6,000 aluminum valve
bodies (2" L x 1-1/4" H x 1" W) per day.
The parts had to be thoroughly clean (removing water
and oil based coolants) and absolutely dry for the next
process which is electro-chemical de-burring . The footprint
had to be as small as possible.

Solution/System
A C-6 Cyberjet with eight cleaning stages
, an automated pick and place unit for loading
the parts onto the conveyor belt, and an
unload conveyor that is 90 degrees to the
belt washer. The belt washer itself is only
10ft. long! This conveyor washer has two
wash stages, three rinse stages with cascading
overflows, and two heated dry stations. |
